Each batch is automatically mixed, sampled, and statistically analyzed to fulfill the requirements of the product being made as well as the process machinery. The sand is then transported to the various molding machines where it and the pattern are used to produce a mold. The mold is poured full of iron to produce a casting. Larger castings are produced in a similar fashion but on somewhat different machines such as the British Molding Machine line in EBAA's Cordele foundry.
